Roommate Woes

Zero %&*#$ Given

Adjusting himself, Sebastián staggers from his bedroom, pulling out a monster wedgie. Tighty whities hug trunk-like thighs. He smells his fingers. Nothing. Scratching his chest, liberated lint falls from matted hamburger meat. He grabs at his crouch. Hallway walls cradle as Sebastián drags to the john. Bedroom door ajar, sultry eyes follow the well-built frame. Nibbling on her bottom lip, a woman indulges in impure thoughts from Sebastián's California King. Cat calls wake him from his stupor. Sebastián looks back. "Take it off, take it off!" the woman yells. Prancing about, he teases his audience of one with the occasional waistband snap and pelvic thrusts. A wiggle sends his lady friend "sliding" down the side of his bed. Breasts clutched. Boos ensue as Sebastián disappears into the bathroom. "I want my money back... what type of show was that? I paid for a private dance! Where's my private dance?!"

Hand against the bathroom wall, backsplashes of urine torpedoing into toilet water land against Sebastián's legs and ugly, outdated tiles. A hefty shake and he's out in the kitchen, forging. Beefy feet trod across parquet floor in pursuit of nourishment. A leftover eggroll on a counter is snatched and devoured. Lips smack as the macerated food and saliva marry. A vodka concoction washes down the takeout. "Ahhhh." Spotting a crusty slice of pizza on a plate, he goes in for a second kill, unaware of a piece of paper with scribble underneath. It falls. He focuses on the text:

A letter from one roommate to another
Sincerely, Zach

"Not my girlfriend, Zach!" Rolling his eyes, Sebastián crumbles up the note and tosses it in the trash. He calls out in the direction of the bedroom "You hungry?"

"Yeah."

"My buddy Zach is an excellent cook and left some food for us, but I just had an eggroll, and now pizza... it's yours if you want."

Day-old pizza clutched in hand, Sebastián struts to the couch and plops down. Prying cushions from the couch's walls, he inspects the its crevasses, feeling around for the remote. A gut rumbles lifts Sebastián's leg. He lets one rip. Soft footsteps turn his head.

"Hey! Food's in the refrigerator, but I have your real breakfast right here."

"Well, I hope it's nothing on the menu... I prefer off-menu fare."

Displaying her flexibility, the woman takes her time to Sebastián. Expectations flow. Charmed by every move, he follows her curves and obscured dimples. A subtle touch explodes the senses. Tongues twist, as the woman mounts Sebastián. His hands move lower, down to her tan-line. Limbs interlock. Teeth nibble ever so slight. Souls moan - delight.

Satisfied by the late breakfast, the couple quietly dress. Remembering members forget to shut off. Eyes consider, but put in for a raincheck. Sebastián and the woman exit.

Keys jiggle as the lock is engaged of Zach and Sebastián's apartment. Zach enters on a business call. "Yes... yes. The team and I will get on that first thing tomorrow. Thank you! Have a goodnight!" Tossing keys into a bowl on a desk by the door, he sets down his satchel. At the kitchen sink, staring blankly at crown molding; Zach scrubs his hands under the facet with chamomile soap. He smells his skin."Today was a little, big win! We lost the Alexis account but are caught up on our workload... time for beer and leftovers!" A deflated smile is Zach's lot when he sees the inside of the refrigerator void of his beer and food. "What the hell!" Slam... closes the fridge door! Zach, holding his hand to his mouth and nose vehemently exhales. "That bastard ate my food!"

Struggling to compose himself, Zach finds respite on the sofa, drafting a heated text to Sebastián. He deletes the text message shortly thereafter. Phone app open, he dials. "This guy... what's his problem!" Hand placed down on a cushion, Zach quickly pulls it back, horrified by the tacky, opaque substance between his fingers. "Oh %&*# no!"
